Recently purchased a 08' Ram with the 5.7
I'm not certain of the rear end ratio, but I'm pretty sure its stock.

I tow a 2400lbs single axle enclosed trailer a few times a month and I ask what the reliability is of the Gen3 rear end and its planetary, pinion, spider gears are?

I owned a 02' with a 360 5.9 and I ended up replacing the planetary, spider, and pinion gears once before, not sure if dodge stepped it up with stronger components for the 08' with the Hemi.

Any info would be great.
Thanks,
-Sam

As long as you change the fluid at regular intervals as need, it should be okay. Especially since you're only towing about a third of the max towing capability.

I'm always good at keeping records and maintaining fluid changes on our vehicles, was just wondering if they had changed or upgraded the rear dif gearing.
Thanks!

As already stated, keep the maintenance up and you're good, you've probably got 3.92 with an LSD.
