Towing with 14 R/T help.

First of I have never towed in my life and my truck does not have a hitch so I will need to buy something adequate. I have to tow a 1989 Iroc Camaro 70 miles from its current location and I have no idea what it weighs. I will be using a Uhaul Trailer to do so. What hitch would you recommend for someone that never tows but may have to move the camaro from time to time. And i see their is a plug in the bumper will I need any wiring to hook up the uhaul trailer will the trailer hook up directly to that plug?

The truck specs are as follows:
2014 Ram R/T
5.7 8 speed, 3.92 LSD rear
Max Towing Capacity - 5,100
Payload - 1381
Belltech 2/4 Lowered (will this matter)

I had not considered the Durango helper bags, but i may just invent in them to lessen the bottoming out. Mope offers a similar hitch my concern was its towing capacities would that suffice for my application? As for the wiring do you need any extra harness or is it plug and play?

Mine was plug and play for my flatbed trailer, ot you can purchase an adapter.

Yes, the helper bags will help for even daily, it's on my list as well, as Ive done the 2/4 drop.

The trailer from u haul will plug into your trucks trailer socket in the bumper. If the plug doesn't fit you'll have to go to your local auto part store and buy an adapter plug. There's a variety of them but you'll have to find the one that makes the trailer plug into your trucks socket. They're relatively inexpensive. Your truck should have no problem towing the camaro just do your research and buy a quality trailer hitch and make sure you have the correct size ball hitch for the uhaul trailer. If you're unsure what size the trailer needs you can pick up a tri-ball hitch which has the 3 most common ball sizes all on one hitch. Good luck!

The reason the towing rating is so low on the R/T trucks compared to the other rams is the wheels, tires, and suspension.

You've replaced the suspension, and if you add helper bags you should be fine there.

You run a little bit of a risk towing with the factory 22" wheels and tires. Supposedly they aren't rated for as much load as the 20" wheels are, which makes sense when you look at the sidewall.
