OK wise folks.... A couple of questions.. Been using this app called Torque to monitor mostly stock 6.7 CTD.

Boost reading never goes beyond 22.5 psi... Is this normal?

What is too hot for tranny temp

What are good hi/low limits for fuel rail pressure? EGT?

Any help appreciated.

Boost- For a stock truck 23-25 sounds about right. I know I've seen mine spike up to 30 here and there. But if the boost never goes above the 22.5 it could just be the torque apps limitation on the ECM reading because I know the iQuad I used had a limit of 20 or 25.

Rp- at idle should be around 6.5K-7.5K, and should be pretty linear after that... Cruising at 70 should be between 17K and 18.5K. Until you get the mini maxx of course. If you ever run the hot tune it'll drop at WOT because you'll be draining the rail. 24K should be your limit... Anything above will be causing damage to those pricey set of injectors you have.

Trans temp- you never wanna see it go above 230*.. If you're measuring at the TC (before the oil gets cooled) not above 280*

EGT- You can peak it to 1500-1800*, but you never want to sustain those temps. 1300* and down is pretty safe

:waytogo:

BTW...forgot to mention, while you have the DPF on there don't get scared if you see your EGT's spike. I wanna say it'll hit around 1600* during regen

OK good to know. I don't think my trucks ever gone into regeneration... At least it's never told me so.. I have found it pulls extra vacuum when it opens the EGR cooler though...

I know the harder you work the truck, the less it goes into regen because you're burning all the particulates yourself.

The 6.7 was built to take the heat a lot better than the 5.9 because of the DPF system

That's funny because my truck is mostly a commute king.. There are a few long upgrades to and from work though, so maybe that saves me from regen

Rail pressure will be the same for the 04.5+ cr's. 03-04 is about 2K lower than those numbers.

Good fuel pressure should be around 16-20psi, but should not go lower than 12 or else your starving your CP3 of fuel
