Default Superchips question
Ok I know superchip questions have been beat into the ground, but I can't really find this answer so far. I am fairly set on buying one, as I've read it is the best tuner for the 03 hemi since it offers trans tuning. My question is, do you leave the flashpaq connected into the truck all the time, or do you upload the tune and then disconnect it and forget about it? How quickly can you change tunes, say from the economy to performance? Do you have to connect it again to check engine codes and clear them? I appreciate the help, thanks

You plug the tuner in, tune the truck in 5-10 minutes, unplug tuner, repeat process for each time you want to change tunes. You need to plug it in to check and clear codes then unplug or as you say disconnect. I think 03 has limited trans tuning options so look into that before buying one.

Ok thanks. What I've seen is the SC does more for shift points then a diablo does. I know trans tuning is limited but from what I understand SC does more. If I'm wrong in thinking that I'll do more research

You can keep in plugged in while reading certain PIDs however.

Ok. My main question was just seeing if it stayed connected like a dashboard unit with any kind of feed back or tune on the fly capabilities. It's not a big deal but I just couldn't find that info anywhere. Thanks!

Im not so sure on which tuner is best for 03. 04-08 I would definitely choose SC because of the trans tuning and torque management options. 03 will offer 91 performance, 87 octane, tow tune and mileage tune, Increased rev limiter, WOT 1-2 rpm adjust and 2-3 adjust.
I hear there is a wire to cut on the 03's to eliminate torque management.

I did the torque management delete earlier this week to take care of the 1-2 shift. Very nice improvement.
