Bullydog GT Hemi Plus Tuner for 2011-2012 Ram 5.7

Is there anyway you would be willing to explain the pros and cons of both the bully dog and diablo sport? And in your opinion would it be worth it buying a tuner if you aren't planning on racing or anything like that. Just looking for more enjoyable driving and mpg gains when you want them over long trips?

The biggest difference between the 2 is that the Diablo gives you the option for custom tuning. Side by side, Bullydog seems to be running a little stronger than Diablo. If you think you would rather have the custom tuning, then I would look into getting that one from Hemifever with his custom tuning included.

Otherwise, the Bullydog will allow you to disable MDS, displays most of the same parameters on the monitor, is going to give slightly better fuel economy, and is going to give noticable perfromance gains. I recommend a tuner to everyone reguardless of what they use their truck for. These trucks are dialed back from the factory, so you will be suprised at how much stronger and smoother trhey run with a tuner installed.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I would ever really do a custom tune due to not being that knowledgeable about trucks but would like to just have a tuner. I will look into the Bully Dog. How long will you have them on sale then?

Originally this sale price was only for the month of January. It was so successful that we have decided to extend it until further notice. I am planning to run this price for at least another month.

Awesome. Do tuners void warranty? I have only had my truck for alomst a year, 8,000 miles is all.

They are very easy to remove before taking the truck in if you need warranty work done. Unless you have a major engine failure, most dealerships wont go far enough to check your computer, but I would always set it back to stock before taking it in. Many times, the dealership will flash your computer, so you dont want them to write over your new tune.

So no need to set it back to stock before having something done as simple as an oil change? Only warranty work?

Dealerships scare me, so I always remove mine before taking it in. They have been known to flash computers just because they know of a current TSB, so I just feel better knowing that they wont have the chance to write over my tuner. For safe practice, I would remove the tuner even if just taking it in for an oil change.

Want to pick one up soon. Need to wait on some pay checks then I will. Having a baby on the way kind of takes precedence over the truck.... Barely!

Yes you can. They are also releasing a new update this week that will allow you to disable the daytime running lights for anyone in Canada.

What is MDS and why does disabling help?

Multi displacement system (I think) at cruising speeds the engine will shut down to 4 cylinders. It's supposed to help with mpgs. But add bigger tires, then it becomes more of a hindrance

MDS is also a pain for most guys with a loud exhaust because the truck will sound like a lawn mower on steroids when it kicks into MDS. Most guys that have run with it on and off, prefer to leave it off.

BD has 2 2013's in the shop, and a couple beta testers that they are about to start sending tuners to. I have not heard anything new from Diablo yet though.
