Dat Cummins!
Thanks. That makes me feel better. I'm lifting my truck pretty soon and I'm like everyone else stuck with 3.55.
I think I'm just going to wait until the replacement kits come out for the 12's instead of going through all the trouble of machining this and that and putting parts from another vehicle, etc.

You are correct in that you can get the factory 4.10's out back and the Motive 4.10's for the front. Those will be bolton and save you alot of time and hassle. We dont have the factory 4.10's listed on the site, but we do have these in stock and they are $368.99 shipped.

Front Motive 4.10's - $194.99
Front Install Kit - $209.99
Rear Factory 4.10's - $368.99
Rear Install Kit - $95.99

Total would be $869.96 shipped.

Getting ready to do this, want to make sure I have everything right.

Everything I need is above right except fluids?
You have everything ready to ship?
If you had to estimate, how many hours does it take to do the whole job for a 4x4?

Whats the average you hear for this job labor wise?

I ask cause my friend highly recommended a guy named Richy that moved to Long Island from PA. He does all after market part installs and Mechanic work. He's well know in the diesel and truck pulling world. He's in Daytona for a week though at a seminar so I haven't had a chance to get a quote yet till he gets back. Meet him once, really nice guy, should have figured he's not from ny. I'll mention you to him, he's set up with a few vendors already.

Sorry for the late reply. Everything listed above is in stock and ready to ship. Normal labor is about $200-$400 per axle depending on location, so I would just ask around your local shops to confirm.

I know this is an old thread, don't want to create a new one.

I'm on moe's site. The rear 4.10 9.25zf are now $699, is that right? I thought there was issues with the front as well, so 8.0" motive 4.10's will work fine, no issues?

Unfortunately, the cost on the rear 4.10 gears doubled about a year ago. List price on the factory 4.10's from Dodge is now $860.

As for the fronts, the 2012+ trucks will require a new front axle and driveshaft out of an 09-11 in order to make the swap. The Motive front gears will work on the 09-11 front diff.

What about changing from 3.73 to 4.10s in a 2007 2500?
