Moe's 2013 87MM Ported Throttle Body

That's right guys...Moe's is the first to produce a ported throttle body for the 2013 Hemi trucks. These will be avilable in an 87mm bore only. We tested the 85mm vs 87mm on the 2013 trucks, and the 87mm was a better performer...even on a bone stock truck. The port design is very similar to our other 87mm TB's, so you can expect the same great increases in both throttle response and power. Below are some pictures showing the port shape and new electronics that are on the 2013 TB's...

Any HP TQ numbers? That's a lot of money to spend without proof of some sort. I know you're respected on here and by no means mean any disrespect in my statement.

We havent thrown this TB on the dyno yet, but the test truck reacted the same way to this TB as the 3rd and 4th gens have reacted to them. The design of the port is almost identical except on the back side of the blade because the 2013 TB is a little narrower than previous years. The test truck noticed instant throttle response gains, and said it felt much stronger on the big end...just like our 2003-2012 TB's.

Hey guys, just chiming in here - I was a little on the fence on whether the TB would make much gains on my pretty much stock 2013 R/T, I only have Mufflex muffler delete and S&B cold air intake, I can tell you there is definitely a difference over stock TB, pretty much exactly like Matt describes, there is a little bit more throttle response but to me the part that I notice it the most is top end once you get the RPMs rolling. Its also possible that I felt better gains because I've got an R/T though as well, it has 4.10 gears, and supposedly a TC from factory..

Anyways I really love where the truck is now and Headers/Tune may just make the truck crazy SICK, lol

Got mine put on this evening, seriously took a total of 10 min and that included a beer break. Easiest mod ever. I notice a significant difference from dead stop with WOT, squawks a bit more now

. Also a great difference when you are cruising about 20 and stomp on it. Acceleration under WOT is better and some of the initial lag is gone. I highly recommend the S&B combined with this TB, they both seem to add a little in the butt dyno and together it is even more noticeable. I am hoping this will help me get the most out of future mods. Cant wait to get a tuner and firm up the shifts, really bugs me how soft they are.

Overall, great product, and exceptional service as always with Moe's!!

SO the 87mm tb is better than the 85mm on these trucks?
I run an 85mm on my Challenger 392 and it picked up about 4 hp 5 ft lbs before tune...decent. I should have gotten the 87mm but there was no tuning at the time so didn't want to push it and have to look at a CEL for months and months waiting on tuners...
So on these trucks I am gathering best buys to be your 87mm TB, a S&B CAI and Magnaflow 14-18" and replace the Y pipe?? Sound about right? Missing anything?

(LOL my truck isn't even on the production line yet and I am ready to pull the trigger and start collecting mods to be ready to go)

For whatever reason, we tested both the 85mm and 87mm on the 2013's, and the 87mm actually showed better results even on a completely stock truck. Because of this, we will only be offering this 1 size for the 2013's. This TB will work on stock tuning, so there are no issues with CEL's.

Also, your planned mod list looks good. I also confirmed with ARH last week that they have a set of longtubes for the 2013's as well. I am not sure about any of the shorties yet as far as fitment goes.

I was thinking the same thing when I bought mine. I know I have a 12 but it was probably the best mod besides my tuner that I've done. I highly recommend it

What's the impact on MPG? Other than wanting to stomp down on the throttle and feel the excitement which obviously sucks it much faster, any feedback on the day-to-day increase or decrease?

I havent had much feedback yet as far as mileage goes on the 2013's, but the 2003-2012 guys are seeing about a .5-1mpg gain with the new ported TB.
