Need Some Clarification

Hey everyone. I recently read on a post that the stock Thottle Bodies are 80MM. Is that right? I was planning (in a distant, maybe VERY distant future) to purchase the 87mm TB. I don't know at this time how far I'll take the modding, but I'd like to have (at a minimum) a SB CAI and a ported TB. Maybe I'll go for a tuner, but I don't see myself getting into headers and such.

So if the stock TB is 80mm, would a better option be 85mm TB or 87mm TB?

I am right with you on this and as of about a week ago the only option for the 2013's is the 87mm. This information came from Matt over at Moe's.

You are correct in that the bore on the stock TB is 80mm. On the 03-12 hemi truck we have always offered both an 85mm and an 87mm. On the 2013's, we tested both on a stock truck, and the 87mm port showed better results, even on a stock truck. The reason for this is because the overall shape of the 2013 is different from the earlier year models causing the 87mm taper to show better results. Because of this, we will only be offering the 87mm on the 13's.

No problem. We have about 60 of the Moe's 2013 87mm TB's out now, and everyone has had nothing but great things to say about it.
