I currently have 3.21 gears with LSD in my truck. Is all you have to do is swap out the gears or is there more to the install?

With you already having a Limited slip, all you need are the OEM gears and an install kit. These are a direct swap for your 3.21's.

Never have done anything like this. If I had a shop do it can you give me a ballpark on what it should cost?

Gear swap isn't something you want to tackle on your own if you have not installed them before. Shop labor varies by location, but around here its about $350 for 2wd or $700 for 4wd.

I have 4WD do I have to change anything else If I do this?

Its going to get expensive with you being 4wd. Your front gears are welded on, so you would need a complete front axle from an 09-11 as well as the front driveshaft from an 09-11. Then you would use the Motive 8" front gears and install kit.

It is not a cheap or easy swap for the 2012+ 4wd trucks.

Do you think that if I upgrade from the 3.21s, that I should get the 3.92s or 4.10s? Is it worth going to 4.10s with the 8 speed?

This is very tempting for me. I have 3.55's and an 8 speed. I'd love to see what the 4.10's would do... Anyone have any input?

For an 8sp, the 3.92 is a better all around gear than the 4.10.

Hey moe for the 2013's are the front end gears welded to the carrier? I've got a 2013 sport with a 6" BDS suspension lift and a 3" PA body lift, so want to put bigger tires (anywhere from 37 to 40"). 35's on the truck now and I find with the 3.55's the truck is a little sluggish now. Really want at least 4.10's for her but don't want to pay out of my ass for them.

Yes, all 2012+ 1500 trucks will require a complete front axle swap in order to swap gears.

What kind of 1/4 mi gains could be expected switching from my 3.21's to 3.92's or 4.10's?
Mine is a 2014 single cab Hemi Express.
