Greetings All

I have a 1984 D250 with a mismatched set of ford and dodge rims on it. i'm looking for a matching set of 4 rims or wheels. in calling a few junkyards a guy said that in addition to all the usual lug pattern measurements, there are also 2 different wheel stud diameter sizes on that era dodges. in other words, the lug nuts from all 1984 rams are not all the same. does this sound right? could this be related to the 2 different front spring capacities?

many thanks....kevin

Yup. 1/2" and 9/16". Take a lug nut off and have local stud supplier match it up.

i don't think it should make any difference. i think all the rims use the same hole which is why lug nuts and rims usually have that taper. most 8 bolt rims use the same 8x6.5" pattern except the hole for the hub usually changed.
