Was wondering if anyone had any idea on how to tell the trans code. Can you tell from the VIN or is there a tag like on the Allisons?

The serial numbers are kinda hard to get to if the trans is still in the vehicle (at least on the cars..maybe a bit easier on trucks). If you need to find out folks on here can help but we need more info.

What is it you need? I tried to Google but to no avail. Has 3 different kinds.
