Is there any tricks to getting better fuel economy? Has an automatic tranny by the way.

Besides a good tune up and fresh properly inflated tires...
Not much that's 'practical' on such a not aerodynamic design.

Thanks, I know that they get around 10mpg and was looking at purchasing one but wanted to get better mpg.

Not really much, like ****** said.
Bout all you can do is rebuild the carb, tune it, advance the timing, make sure the cat/muffler are in good shape and drive it like a grandma.
