I have my 84 d100 and the fuel sending unit is bad it runs fine but gas gauge part is fubared. I am running a no name ebay electric fuel pump for carbed applications. I have a 1990 D150 gas tank, its the 30 gallon mine is a 20 gallon I think.

Will that tank fit in my truck?
I would like to use it wire it up to my gauge and wire up the fuel pump get rid of my external pump and put a regulator on it to keep my carb happy.

It'll physically fit, but there is likely fittings and stuff that you'll have to remove/modify to get to work with your older style setup.

I think he's referring to the return line and vent lines used for emissions. In theory it will work, just spend the money and get a really good quality fuel pressure regulator, don't want cheap stuff to go faulty and cause an engine fire! Adjustable is best, so you can find tune your carb adjustments. Happy tinkering!!
