Hey everyone, I have a 1988 dodge d250 with a stock 360 (carbed) and the other day I went out camping and it drove perfect. Once I went to come home (40 min drive through hills) it started to sputter, loss of power and even stalled. After a few minutes it started right up and idled fine expect for a slight pop out of the exhaust. Drove for another 10 15 mins with no issues then it started all over again, loss of power and stalled. I could drive like normal up hills but then some hills I'd stall on.

I pulled all the plugs today and they look clean, distributor looks fine. it has fresh gas. Any info would help. I am thinking possibly fuel pump?

Check the oil pressure solenoid or switch. Also check the distributor and rotor. And check all the grounds for proper connection and no corrosion is present

Cap and rotor look fine, the only corrosion is on the battery terminals. The negative terminal is also slightly loose and I have to move it sometimes to get it to start

i would be checking fuel pressure. does it have a factory fuel filter that t's into the return line? if so you could try plugging the return line. i had a similar issue with my 81. it would run good most of the time but it would occasionally stall and not want to start immediately. plugged return line and never had the issue again.

So I checked the vacuum lines and saw that one was unplugged, plugged it in and vroom! Idles nice and good response! I also put some sea foam in the tank to try and clean everything up as well as cleaned the carb.
Now we will see once I take it back out. I drove it around for 15 mins and it never missed a beat
