Hello,
I am considering the purchase of a 1992 W150 listed with a 5.2 and 3spd Auto. It has 144k on the clock and looks brand spanking new. Has all documentation since original purchase.
First of all i have never owned a Dodge Ram, so i know very little about them. I have always heard that the 5.2l is pretty die hard and dependable. Is there any known issues with the engine that i should look for? Secondly, i question the listing of 3 speed auto. I would think by 92 it would have an overdrive trans. Lastly what kind of fuel mileage should i expect from a well maintained Ram with this set up? I would think around 15 - 18 MPG average driven appropriately. Then again i have no idea of the gearing.
