Hi,
Just thought I'd share my current project with you. I found a leather bench seat in a 2004 Land Rover at a local junk yard. It's from the middle row of the vehicle. All the doors to the vehicle were shut so the inside was nice and dry. It was in an area of the yard that no one bothers to venture to.
I removed the seat and took it home to clean up. Now I've finished building a bracket to align the mounts from the new seat with the mounts attached to th truck currently. I will be able to keep the forward/backward sliding mechanism of my truck seat which is nice. The new seat also folds forward in two separate pieces. I'm installing it tomorrow. Here's some pictures of the seat and also thr bracket, when I was halfway thru building it. I will be getting the indentations out of the seat with a heat gun and hand work. Also plan on getting a fitted seat cover that is the same color as the new generation ram Laramie (that really nice dark brown). Oh, and I'm replacing my carpet with dense rubber tomorrow as well. Stay tuned for pics tmr when I finish.
Thanks for reading

Successfully installed the new floor and seat today. Took about 5 hours. There is about a 4x3 inch sized rust hole in the passenger floorboard which was a downer to discover. But the rest looks good. I sprayed a full can of Pro Foam onto the metal before laying the new floor. It's a rubberized undercoating spray that helps with sound deadening and rust proofing. The rubber is attached thru the various seatbelt holes and metal trim along the step area of the floor. I cut slits in areas to relieve the tension in the rubber, to allow it to lay formed to the transmission hump (since it's not a formed truck floor). Question for you guys - you can see the rust hole in that photo, if this was your truck would you replace the floorboard immediately or could it get by another summer? I don't have the time or skill to do it myself since work is picking up for the summer season. Thanks
