Well as bad as I want it I decided not to get the 440. So now lol what's the best way to clean the chrom on the sides of the old prospector. And where can I find the little sockets on the door you screw the mirror on with my passenger sides have been striped out. And I bed lined the bed this week.

it is not impossible to clean or polish. it is just very very time consuming because it is so small and on the vehicle.

really depends on what you want it to look like when done. i really don't know that much about polishing or cleaning aluminum. i just know you can and it is time consuming.

I want it to look nice just because I know no one makes replacement parts for the trim.

Put some cheap carpet I bought from autozone in today. I know it's cheap and won't last to long but I'm real proud of how it turned out lol

And lastly this is what I'm needing to put my mirror back in my passenger side. It's where the screw goes in and I don't know what to look for to replace it

it really depends on what you want to use the truck for and your future plans for it. i would probably go for at least they same as stock or maybe a bit bigger if you want to fill the wheel well a bit better. stock is about 29" tires but 30's would fill the wheel well nice. 215/70R17's would be close to stock except narrower. 235/65R17's would be very close to stock in most ways including width. could also run narrower tires in the front and a bit wider in the back but you got to play with figuring out which sizes are close to the same height wise.

Thanks. I've got my other trucks so this one I'm going for more of that muscle truck look. As long as the fit and look nice I'll be happy.

Don't know if they were stock but when I got my Ram it had 31" tires on 16.5" rims. I put on some 265 75 R16 which are about 31.5". I like them but I don't think I'd go much bigger without lifting it.

i don't think i would go with 31's. i would probably go for staying around 30's. they would definitely fill the wheel well a bit better than stock size. also you may want to choose approximately how wide of rear tires you want and then go from there. i think i had 255/60R15's on the back of my 81 and i like the look of the wider tires but they were a bit small to really fill the wheel well. some 255/65R17's might look good in the back with some maybe 225/70R17's or 235/70R17's up front. could maybe even run a bit wider out back but you really need to measure and know tires and rims to make sure you get rims with just enough backspacing to sit right with whatever width tires that you choose to go with.

Thanks for the replays guys but I found the rims I want in 15s so I don't have to Change rims. I think it will give it that old school muscle car look. What do yall think? They came in today I just haven't had time to put them on.

as long as you like them that is all that matter. also you still may want to do homework before getting tires especially if you want wider tires in the back. you can get them but you got to figure out what sizes are available and would look right with your truck and how it sits.
