I bought this 1984 RamCharger Prospector III 6 years ago from a guy closing out his father's estate

His dad worked at a Chrysler dealer for 40 + years & bought all the neat trade ins that the sales guys didn't want to sell or couldn't for some reason or another

Enter a one owner sold at the same dealer new Loaded out RamCharger 2WD Prospector III traded in with well cared for miles done (All the records in the console) at that dealer that has a rod knock.
All records were till early 1990 with the oil change & full service being the last

With this being I figure it sat at his farm for 18 years before I bought it

The headliner had fallen, all the weatherstrips were toast as well as the carpet
The seat covers & the rest perfect,NO RUST till after I parked it outside
Everything worked perfect! I fired it up & made a lap around the block & back then the rods kicked out

I had more pics of when I got it but some POS stole my camera with the first card of pics so what I have is after the 318 was pulled

Here's some pics one year after I pulled the 318 which is when I actually began getting serious

The pickup needed to be larger so this is what a friend of mine in R&D at Holley suggested

The pickup got a #6 90 degree bulkhead fitting & custom 3/8" pickup tube
I used the original pickup for a return by cutting a slot in it at the top

The Perfomer RPM for this application really only fits the Mag serpentine drive but not well & will not fit LA stuff correctly at all although they put the heater fitting in LA position which is directly under the Mag A/C compressor
I put it where it belonged

Longer bolts & spacers needed to use factory stuff

It uses 92 model only Mag exhaust manifolds with 2 1/4" outlets & 3" factory Y pipe

I use a Bouchillion throttle cable bracket along with their kickdown cable kit This kit allows use of factory cruise
I used al 92-93 Mag truck hoses,A/C lines & everything to make it look factory

The front is dropped using van LCA's for almost 3" inches & the rear has the axle flipped on to the top of the springs
I'll use the factory sway bar by moving it forward on the frame

This pic is of the parking brake cable bracket that I relocated to unbind the cables & keep from dragging it
Those bolts hold a mounting bracket that fit either a carter electric pump or an Aeromotive efi pump on the other side of the frame

sweet rc bro!

Thanks but this project has taken a turn before I got all the wiring finished

Enter a 92 Canyon Sport with a 318 Magnum & all the correct fuel lines, tank, wiring Wiring that will shift my 518 without me having to Along with a reclining bucket seat interior in light tan with beautiful carpet that will pressure wash clean

The cowl & front floor from the Canyon Sport along with the perfect front end will go on the CrewCab that I have

I'll be posting more pics in the future of some custom stuff on the interior some of which if there's enough demand I'll make or have it made to sell

I'm doing custom side panels without ashtrays & adding speakers,LEDs,power outlets & enough sound deadener to do a short bus

I've got 2000 watts of stereo to put in Three 12" DVC subs in a custom fit box with speakers from Infinity,Sony,Pioneer Fosgate amps & presently a Kenwood head unit

All the power & RCA's have been run

I continually snoop around to find a clean RamCharger, I've never found one.
It always looks like the son of a rancher gets ahold of them and horse beats them for a couple years, then tries to sell em for top dollar!

Diggin the slammed stance!

I hunted for years & found this one for $250 & when I thought he wasn't getting my email I had 5 other people email him also to make sure I bought it

I have over 5K in it now without stereo included & probably another $4K to finish it

Thanks! I like lowered trucks I have a lowered CrewCab too

This is going to be super slammed with a rack & all

I've made a deal for another 92 Canyon Sport so the body tub will go on the frame above it's 4WD just like the other one I've got for parts so someone will get a chance at another 518/tranfercase deal or I'll find a M880 to put it in

Got some sheets of 6061 Aluminum today for a job Looks like I'll be making some neat stuff with the leftovers

Can you say Billet aluminum A/C vents to go with a polished aluminum gauge bezel?
