Hey everybody I've recently gotten into pick ups (I've always been into old aircooled Vw). This old truck has been in my neighborhood sitting at a gasstation for a couple years now. Thought I would go check it out. I've always thought it was pretty sweet. Got some nice patina and sweet pinstriping. Clearly it's a work truck so it's rough but seems solid. everything underneith is pretty rusty. But no cracks in the frame, at least no where obvious.

Can I get your guys opinion on the truck if it's worth working on. I'm not trying to do much to it. If I cane spare these axels it'll be ideal I really don't want to tackle that. If i can't get the motor to run I'm interested in swapping in a diesel. Space is limited in the driveway and I'm not trying to spend too much the vision really is a beater to take off road.

That being said. How much would you guys offer to pay for this truck. I left a $500 offer. 700 with the plow not really interested in it right now though. Also what's some of the first things I would need to tackle to get this thing in good shape

Thanks for the time
Tom

Really not sure why everything is upside down. sorry about that guys. hopefully its not to hard to view. but as you can see it was a working truck, virtually everything underneath is covered in rust

Let me know what you guys think

Yeah, I would go for 500.00. Like said above if it don't work out, you could scrap it, or sell it for parts.

Ask if he undercoats it with salt every fall. Lol.
Wow that's rusty. But, for $700 and it runs, the plow is worth that possibly if its reasonable.
Id like a plow.
A 3/4t 4x4. Be a nice truck to build. If your handy and can do it yourself.

That's not too rusty. My old '95 1500 had huge chunks of frame flaking off in rust, and i even had a few holes up near the frame horns in front of the front axle.
