I am in need of a fuel level sender to replace the OEM that quit working.

I can find pumps all day and my FIL just replaced his pump in his '88 D-100, manual trans. His fuel sender is still good.

i don't think anyone has one for a 88. you will have to make or customize your own or fix the one you got. i picked up a gauge and sending unit at princess auto for $25 for the day mine quits working because i will not pay $150-$250 to replace the sending unit or have it rebuilt.

at this point in time lmc does not have a catalog for 1st gen rams but the are suppose to release one next year.

Disappointed

Thank you for the help everyone.

I am very disappointed to hear Chrysler-Dodge has chosen to ignore loyal owners and not keep parts available for us.

there are parts available. just the stuff not for the stuff that does not wear out often. since your truck is a 88 it would be even harder to locate a sending unit for since 88 was the first year for TBI. i know you can get sending units for 91-93 trucks and 87 and older trucks but i am not sure what type you would need to fix a 88-90 sending unit plus it may cost you a lot of money.

My wife call our local dodge dealer about a bumper trim piece on our '93, suprised to find out that there is a "chrysler vintage parts program", so it was available!! Might want to try that.
