newbie to this forum. quick ? 87 swb 318 auto. what does everyone use for a/t fluid? It calls for dex iii but I understand there might be something better. Any help is much appreciated

some people run atf+4. i think it is supposed to be a bit better overall but cost a bit more.

i think it is supposed to last longer before breaking down since it is synthetic apposed to the stuff that you would normally run in it.

ATF+3 or ATF+4 is your best bet. from the words of a wise mechanic who ran DEX 3 in his 727 and it broke down under the heat. He ran ATF+3 and he never went back to DEX 3
