Need help identifying trans for 88 ram charger 4x4 auto trans none of the numbers i have tell me if its a 727 or 904t or 999 any help?

most likely has a 727. for some reason the ramchargers always seemed to get the better and heavier duty parts. if your truck has the sticker under the hood and it is still readable it should verify the transmission.

there is a build sticker under the hood that pretty much tells you everything about the vehicle. just most of the time they are pretty faded. still i don't even think the 904 or 999 was ever used in the 4x4's.

Ya the hood sticker jst told motor and a couple other things. Im going with 727

it should also tell you the transmission, gear ratios, axle weight ratings and everything about the truck. here is the 1 off my 89. the 1 in my 93 is the same except a lot more faded. it could also be on the sticker as a 36RH but mine clearly says A727 under Standard duty transmission.
