LMC finally made good on their promise and came out with the 72-93 Dodge trucks catalog.

And I am very surprised at not only the content, but the pricing on some of this stuff

Some of it is, but a lot of it your only source is eBay for the most part.

i have been finding if you can find the correct updated part number you can sometimes get it from the dealer for cheaper than lmc. good example is the fuel sending unit for my truck
$100 dealer part or $150 from lmc

Well, most of us don't have dealers that are worth anything. I have no faith in my dealer at all for anything besides PCV valves.

when it comes to dealers they are usually pretty useless when it comes to older vehicles unless you got a part number. i know it has taken me a while to stumble across the correct part number for the sending unit i need for my truck.

Exactly, that's the problem: finding the correct part number. Then you have to try and get the guy at the computer to order it without laughing at you.

I ordered the Lmc catalog for my truck a week or so ago. The website said once it becomes available it will ship out. There's quite a few parts for the 81-85 that have been discontinued. I hope Lmc makes them available again. I know I can use different years....... I prefer to keep it as close to 85 if not all 85 that I can. The hood is something Iam willing to stray from as long as it's a bolt on deal.
