I have an 84 ram prospector and its badge says its a 100 . What's the difference in a 100 and a 150. This might be a simple answer but anyways lol I'm learning.

i don't think there is many differences. i think they mainly did it to get around some of the emissions laws

the 100 customs were the base models... the lowest of the totem pole. You would usually find them with manual trannys and slant six's. Although you could find some like mine that had been special ordered with a 318 and a 727tf.

It is possible that the 100 emblem was just stuck on your truck. I believe the 100 emblem was discontinued sometime in the mid 70's. There should not be anything different seeing the two (there are both 1/2 tones, unless yours isn't a half ton. How many lungs do you count on each wheel?

nope they still used the 100 emblems in the 80's. both 100's and 150's were 1/2 ton trucks. just the 100 were light duty 1/2 ton trucks

Always learning. That's probably why I was always hearing guy referring to my 80 w150 as a heavy half.
