I have been looking to sell my current 99 dodge in order to fix up a late 80's dodge. I found this and thought it looks pretty good. just wanted thought or questions i should ask the guy before meeting him. I know its a plow truck, but im not planning on having this as a everyday driver, just a fixer upper. I might offer between $1500 and $1800 (want $2200) depending on the shape and see where it goes from there

craigslist link:
88 ram w350 with plow
(not much info posted)

I think it would be worth it. You could turn around and sell the plow set up for $800 I would guess

Use that plow to make money to fix it up

I would imagine there would be a use for a snow plow in MN

W350 would mean D60 front & rear

That's a pretty tough drivetrain there

I see a lot of rust in your future, but I do agree with the above posters.

IMO, any decent 1st gen (or older) is worth it as there aren't many out there...AND WE NEED TO PRESERVE THESE THINGS!!!

if the body is solid then it is worth it but if the cab supports are rotted out and above the windshield it rusting then no it is not worth $2200.

he said the gas was not changed in the last 2 years could that be the problem

gas has not been changed. lol. that sounds pretty funny. if it has been sitting for 2 years with the same gas in the tank some things could possibly be gummed up and preventing enough fuel from being sucked out of the tank.
