Long story short, i took my '84 D150 in to get an insurance inspection. When i got it back they told me they had to change the centre link and one tie rod end. when i left their shop i noticed right away that when making left or right turns (somewhat sharp) the front tires would skid/hop/scuff like a 4X4 on pavement (its 2WD).

I've taken the truck back 5 times now, had the old parts re-installed, had 4 alignments done and nobody can seem to tell me what the problem is. I finally took it to another alignment shop today and found out that i have a toed-out on turn issue. the right side tire is turning in more than the left tire (on a left hand turn). Note that the truck did not do this prior to being dropped off for inspection. Same tires as before inspection as well. I've also changed the front tires to see if it could be the tires... no positive result.

Nothing is bent, broken or has even been touched aside from the centre link and tie rod end..... ..... ........... I'm stumped. 6 Mechanics plus two heavy duty mechanics and an alignment shop are all stumped...

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated guys! Thanks in advance!!

have you tried verifying it is toed out yourself? i got a 2wd with a bit of a toe out issue too not notice any of the issues you are talking about. have you checked the brakes? maybe a caliper is sticking.

Ya, i've verified it at another alignment shop. Breaks are good as well... I'm at a loss. Its as though something is bent or broken... but as far as I (and everyone who's looked at it so far) can tell, nothing is...

I have same issue shop aligned it,centered steering (which is now upside down", I just replaced center link, tie rod ends, ball joints, cam and casters, idler arm, tires and after they aligned it the same thing happens to me when turning sharp, tires seem to drag on pavement like a 4x4.

They claim it is at specs but you can plainly see steering at center that the right tire is toed way out. I put it on stands releasing pressure on the suspension and it's way way out.

I think it's in the cam and caster
