I have a 1989 W150 4x4 I want to put a lift 6-8 inches on it, with 35-38 in tires. Any insight before I start ordering parts to do this? It has a 2 in lift on it now I just want it higher its going to be a play truck more than anything, but I still want to be able to drive it when I want to joy ride. What would I have to change as far as drive shafts, steering etc. Thanks for info

with that much lift you would most likely need something like a crossover steering kit. i think the stock setup may not work with that much lift or would wear out real quick. i think the drive shafts should me ok with that much.

You'll DEFINITELY need custom suspension & steering components. And you can run 35's with as little as 3" of lift.
