Hey how's it going
I got a question my 88 is pretty low to the ground and the steering is amazing for being this old the question I have is when I'm driving down the highway and just turn the wheel slightly it feels like the truck wants to lose control if I don't correct it quick is there any way is adding a steering stabalizer ?

The steering is excellent only 3/4 of play in the steering wheel what I'm trying to say I normally drive a 7.3 f350 massive thing and the steering is smooth then i get into the 2 door shortbed dodge and it's like a go kart really responsive is there a way to make it feel smooth and not feel like a death trap

well if there is any play in the steering wheel something must not be tight. maybe you have got too use to newer vehicles.

Yeah I've owned a 00 and 99 but this is my first older truck so it's probably normal

ya older trucks are in a lot of ways similar to newer trucks but not. at least since your truck is a 88 it should have the factory steering brace that the 87 and older trucks didn't have.

there should be a brace on the inner frame behind the steering box that goes to the front cross member. it helps strengthen the frame there since it was a weak spot on some. it also prevent the frame from flexing as much when you steer.
