So I found some LED bulbs to replace my stock tail light bulbs, but I was wondering should I replace them with white LED's or red? My tail lights are tinted black, and you can still see my original bulbs through them when I turn on my lights and hit the brakes, but I want brighter. So what do yall think? White or red LED's?

But my stock bulbs are white and they shine fine, but I want brighter. So you think red will be my best bet?

LEDs are much brighter than incandescent bulbs anyway. The red LEDs should be bright enough

You may be surprised to hear this, but most of the led bulbs you buy, especially the cheap ones are junk. Just a warning. Most are actually not as bright as your factory ones

I'm going the whole way around the truck replacing every bulb with LED's... and the good ones I can tell you cost quite a bit. I'm really fond of the Lumen brand PlaZma series and they are INSANE bright - although the whites are brighter than the colored ones, but they're $30 a bulb... keep in mind they last a LONG time, though.

Is it a simple swap, or is there any wiring needed? What's the part number you got for our halogen tails?

i would guess it is a straight forward swap. no wiring needed.

personally i would not spend $30 per light. i can get normal lights for less than $1 a bulb.

You will need an electronic flasher in your fuse box, unless you like the 'hyper flash'
I agree that you need to spend a considerable amount of $$ to get quality LEDs.

I think you should just mount some SemiTruck LED lights into the reflector behind the factory lense. LED arrays are neat!
