I am about to acquire a very nice 1988 W100. I am wanting to bring it back to factory but I have no idea what was original and I don't trust google images. I plan to break down the vin and use that but is there an OEM parts resource/website for people wanting to bring vehicles back to exact original? Things such as available options and year to year variances like wheels/tires. Thanks if you can help and thanks anyway if you can't.

of this I have no idea, however since the first gens aren't that valuable you might want to do a resto-mod. its more fun that way!

for example, in the 80s dodge didn't make an r/t truck. therefore I made my 88 d100 into a what if kinda thing, so now I have an 88 d100 r/t with a 440 in it.

that place is expensive but they do sell some NOS.

right now there is pretty little support for these trucks. there are some parts out there but not everything. there is some things that you would have no choice but to make yourself if they are bad. now there are some upgrades you should do like putting your headlights on relays. they make your lights noticeably brighter and prevent your headlight switches from burning out.

I went to a dealer, gave them the Vin, they gave a printout of all the options my truck came with, even the name of the paint! You could try that.

I have a 1986 w250 and Im wanting to install cab lights on it. Since it doesn't have a headliner, I was wondering where you put the wiring harness. Thanks
