some days i wonder why my truck don't burn to the ground and then i remember it is a dodge. hard to kill them.

One good thing about the usual rats nest on these trucks is that it's usually out in the open on the fender well.

that black box is most likely a power distribution center of some sort. size and shape usually vary depending on what you pull it out of.
