Looks ok is that 4wd I hope mine last as it has barely any rust on the body and frame but my truck seems to make a popping noise out of the exhaust I can't figure it out were is the 02 sensor on these trucks

looks can be deceiving. it is only 2wd. it just looks like a 4x4 since it has heavier springs. i have also put a lot of work into it to keep it on the road. new floor pans/cab supports/rear shackle mounts and all sorts of stuff damaged by rust.

the o2 sensor should be in the y-pipe. a exhaust leak could possibly cause a popping noise.

Oh cool I'm thinking about getting 2 inch leveling springs for the front but not sure. I have a question does your cat have a small pipe going to it right to the side.
I can't find the 02 sensor it seems to really need one.

it really depends on what you want. i kind of like having the front of my 81 as low as it is and the back end lifted. i can drive it like i stole it and it handles great.

none of my cats have the small pipe out the side but my 81 and 93 never had a smog pump. that tube is for the emission system. the o2 sensor should be on the y-pipe close to the cat. i think you said in the other thread someone filled the hole with some muffler cement

Ya but we both have d250s 2wd 3/4 ton it looks really low in the front. Ya plugged that hole in the cat and will check the o2 sensor today.
Also what type of exhaust you have on your ram charger.

all 2wd dodge trucks get low in the front and they get even lower when you ad some extra springs in the rear like my 81 has. takes about 3000lbs in the box to make my truck sit level.

my ramcharger has the stock exhaust just with no muffler. i am just lucky that it has the newer magnum 318 engine which came with a way better flowing exhaust.

Oh cool your ram must have like 225 hp mine only has 175 hp lol. I've done a muffler delete sounded the same as stock and I just put a 30 inch glass pack on it does t sound loud at all.

i don't know. never been on a dyno with it. the magnum engines always sounded a bit louder even with the stock exhaust compared to a LA engine.

like everything engines are only as reliable as the person doing the maintenance. the 318 in my 81 should have probably died with some of the stuff i have done to it but it is still running strong. i think part of the reason is from me running diesel truck oil in it instead of normal oil. they put better chemicals in the diesel oil and than they put in the gas engine oil. i usually run shell rotella 15w40. it also helps slow some of the leaks i got in spots i really don't want to touch.
