3.9 header swap

I am trying to find some headers for my truck, currently driving an 88' D100. Not looking for crazy performance, just wanna make the truck sound and look better.

Does anyone know if I can put 3.9 magnum headers on a 3.9 LA?

yes magnum headers should fit but headers on the v6's are almost a waste of money especially if the engine is stock. if you want engine to sounds good you are best to just buy a high flow cat and nice muffler for it. that would be the best bang for your buck.

If anything do what was mentioned above but replace your y-pipe with a less restrictive one.

on a stock v6 there is no point replacing the y-pipe. heck even on a v8 the y-pipes are not that restrictive. the only thing holding back all the noise and good sounds is the cat and muffler.
