Hi there, recently bought an '87 and have been getting all kinds of work done on it. When i start it cold, sometimes it'll idle really slow, or cut out right away. start it again and it runs fine. it's got a new ignition module, alt. belt, and starter. the carb's clean and the hoses are all tight. Any ideas on what's causing the slow chuggy idle or false starts?
New to all this so if this isn't the right site for maintenance questions, sorry.
Thanks!

Try a compression test then a wet compression test and go from there.

You checked the timing and the cold fast idle adjustments?
