Has anybody upgraded the ECU on these 1st gen engines, to be able to get better performance and/or OBD-II capability?
I'm an electrical engineer with computer experience, and I've thought about trying to design & build my own ECU from scratch, but its an ambitious project. Its better to find out first what IS available out there, and what people have tried.
Thoughts?
I have a: 1992 Dodge Ram B250 van, 5.2L V8 engine
(which I think means i have the first year of the 318 Magnum engine, right when Dodge switched from Chrysler LA engine)
