Hey guys,
1998 5.2 4wd 1500

A few months ago I had a starting problem and i replaced the fuel pump with a new delphi FG0237. Cured my starting problem and truck runs great. I only drive this truck 20-30 miles a week and sometimes it sits for 10 or more days without driving at all. So last week I started it and took it for a short drive and notice that the fuel gauge is now going from correct level and then falling to empty then back to correct level. This continues the whole time I am driving. It will switch back and forth about every 15 seconds or so. Anyone ever have this happen? I plan on unplugging the connection at the tank and plugging back in to make sure I have a good connection but im sure it snapped together when I installed it. Also it worked for the first 5 weeks. The pump was installed September 20th so its only 2 months old. I hate to have to replace again because of gauge unit!
Your thoughts?
Thanks Rod
