Don't see why not if you have both trucks! Some fab work and wiring harness transfering, etc would be in order but IMO there are better aftermarket stuff available for putting the Hemi into older Mopars. How about a 340 or 360, lots you can do to make power with those. If you go forward keep us in the loop.

Have to agree with ramman, I wouldn't put a gen2 v10 in it. They don't make enough power for it to be worth it. Possible? Yes. Worthwhile? No. It would be cheaper, and easier(not to mention more power) to drop in a 360 crate motor and have a great time laying down black marks(with less gas usage as well). Or you could get a junkyard v8 magnum motor($500), and put a 4 barrel carburetor with a magnum motor 4 barrel intake manifold and you'll have even more fun with the black marks.

To put it in perspective a gen 2 ram v10 makes 310 hp, and monster 450 ft/lbs of torque. A 360 crate motor makes 380 hp and 410 ft/lbs of torque. The crate motor costs around 4 grand, and so is much cheaper than the v10 idea. The only way the v10 would be worth the swap was if it was a genuine viper v10. But that would have to be for a race truck.

A cheaper option than that would be a 408 stroker

The iron block truck V10 is useful for...
Well, I guess you could melt it down and cast a better engine with it.

Anything is possible. Most just aren't worth doing. Unfortunately, this would be one of those things.

I personally am thinking about a hemi from the newer trucks with the variable cylinder management (I know it's going to take a lot to get it to work but I think the end result would be worth it)
