First time on the forum, not knowing what I did but my pick up is having issues now.

For start its 1991 w150 5.2l TBI carb.

Ok so my pick was smoking when starting up then goes away after running a while. So I figured the valve seal were leaking. So I changed the seals on the driver side while doing the hose I thought was from the AC was in the way. So I took off the pump and hose. Them went on my way doing the seal. Got the passenger side and there was another hose and went the header. Weird took it off too. The other end went towards the rear of the truck and was cut and folded. So changed the seals. Plugged the vacuum hoses and started the truck. Boy does it run rough. Spitting and sputtering. So checking things out I noticed that I had broke vacuum lines where the three solenoids meet and I think I fixed them. Truck is still not liking it. So I don't know were to start. Come to find out it wasn't the a/c pump but a smog pump. Should I try reverse all the cut pipes and put the pump back on. It didn't have belt on to start with?

you may possibly want to look for more vacuum leaks or check the computer to see what codes it is possibly seeing. the emissions stuff being disconnected should not make it run rough immediately. if anything it might cause issues when hot.

ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS Dodge OBD1 Pre 96

1. Cycle the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 5 seconds. To cycle the ignition key ON means to turn it only as far as it takes to get the radio to come on. It does not mean to turn the engine on.

2. Count the number of times the "check engine" lamp on the instrument panel flashes on and off. The number of flashes represents the code. There is a slight pause between the flashes representing the first and second digits of the code. Longer pauses separate individual codes. For example, flash-flash-flash [pause] flash-flash represents the code 32.

A code of "55" represents end of error codes. If this is all you get then no error codes are stored in the computer. This is the normal condition

CODE Description of Trouble Code
11 Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more from initial learned value, Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking
12 Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles (normal)

does the top rad hose get hot at all after running? you may want to doubt check for a vacuum leak or something. it sounds like you might have possibly knocked something loose when pulling out the emissions pipes
