I just discovered an odd starting issue with my 1988 d150, 318 (5.2). I always garage it and it starts right up every morning. The last few weeks I've been parking her outside and on cold mornings she won't start. I come home at lunch, after its warm outside, and she starts right up.

I figure some kind of condensation from the dew that dries up after the day warms up, but I don't know.

Anyone had this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Winters coming and I can foresee her just sitting there, stubbornly quiet, unless I get this fixed...

is there any other parts that you have replaced? i really can't think on anything that should prevent it from starting when cold. it is throttle body injected. should just fire right up. do you hear the fuel pump kick on when you put the key in the run position?
