Stock 318 in a pickup -how much HP and torque?

I can't find anywhere on the Web, the specs of a first gen dodge ram (318 2 barrel carb.) Specifically a 1984.

I am wondering how much hp and ft lbs of torque these trucks had when they were new. Anyone know?

Did you try Wiki? There it says 140 HP and 240 ft lbs for the '81-'87 318.

140 sounds about right. They weren't rated for much, low compression, emissions controls, big cats, and cam shafts with the lobe profile of a broom handle.

An intake set up for a 4 barrel and a nice 4 barrel will wake it up. Cut those cats off at the least, they are HUGE
