I'm really scratching my head on this one. I have this old dodge d100 slant 6. I waa experiencing poor performance and decided to ditch the lean burn crap and go with the 4 pin module, ballast resistor, new distributor, etc. Got it all installed, but now the truck won't start and I have weak spark. Ground issues comes to mind, but...

How's your ignition coil? I had the same issue. I replaced the coil and that took care of it. If it's not your coil it does sound like the ground to your chassis.

did you check the air gap between the pick up and reluctor in the distributor? i know it is a new distributor but i know quality has been going a bit down hill with new stuff. also does the coil say anywhere on it that it has an internal resister? i don't know exactly which year they started using them or if they possibly used them with the lean burn setup.
