1990 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive with an automatic transmission.

I have stock 8-bolt steel rims and tires, the tires are the same size as indicated on the door jamb sticker.

The speedometer reads 5mph slower than actual speed.

While driving 55mph using the speedometer my GPS indicates I am actually traveling at 50mph.

Any thoughts on what needs to be done to make this accurate?

Thanks for any help you throw my way.

is it 5mph off all the way from 0 up? mine is the same way. no one seemed to really be able to give me an answer. since it will prevent people from speeding in my vehicle i look at it as a good thing.
