I do. I can post details later, after I get home. My intent is not to undermine any of their work.

That said, pinning the extra inputs will not be of much use without their jailbreak. And it's not very hard to see which cavities are pinned for the extra cameras.

I wound up not using their harness, because I added a second factory camera instead. I just used my RCA input solution for the front cam. There wasn't much point in adding the entire harness and it's bulk for one rca input.

Thanks! I definitely appreciate it.

I have a feeling that they will tell me no on my request to enable the cam inputs and not buy their silver harness. I'm definitely not trying to undermine them either, but I just don't need their harness right now, and I can't justify spending an extra $200 just to get a couple RCA inputs. The extra cams are cool, but not that cool.

What I'm looking for now is just to enable NAV input while in motion. I really don't care about playing movies or anything on the screen. The kiddo has her own DVD player in the back seat so I don't need that functionality up front.

I'll eventually add cameras later, but that's not my primary concern right now. I've got the front cam from my Power Wagon that I could toss on if I got really energetic but the cargo cam will be a mod for later on, since I really don't need it. I really just want to know if I can add these two cams later on with the Bronze jailbreak and not have to buy their harness. Wiring isn't an issue for me, just have to know which pins they are enabling for what on the radio harness.

I also assume that these are standard Molex MX150 type female pins? If so, I've got a boat load of them...

Also, once the front cam is installed, can you disable the auto-on function under 7 MPH? I really don't want that either. I want the tailgate cam to operate like factory when in reverse but I also want to be able to turn on the front, cargo, and tailgate cams manually if desired. Is that a possibility?

The tailgate camera operates the same as factory. All cameras can be pulled up on demand. However, the factory tailgate camera shuts down above 10mph. The factory cargo cam does not.

The front camera only comes on below 7mph if you adjust the shifter. So stopping at a red light has no impact.

All cameras can be dismissed by tapping the screen.

so thats the part number for the whole 3rd brake light?

Yes. It includes the camera. But will work even if you don't wire the camera.

I like the look of that CHMSL! Are the cargo lights LED also? Do they light up the bed much? I don't plan on using the camera (yet), but I might change out the light just to have LED's back there.

Here are some shots of the cargo lights at night. I took one with the aperture locked before turning on the light, and one by setting the aperture after the light was on.

I just emailed Customtronix and asked if they can enable the cam inputs with the bronze package. If all they are doing is enabling inputs, I can pin my own wires into the stock harness. Basically, I just need the silver package without their harness.

Now, having said that, do you know what pins they are using for each cam input? I see that 31-33 are for the factory backup cam, but not sure where they are landing the other cams.

The cargo cam is pins: 21, 22, & 23

The front bumper camera is pins: 24, 25, & 26

Just to be clear, there isn't a way/jailbreak to enable more than one camera on a UC 5.0 (RA2) radio, only UC 8.4 (RA3 and up)?

There is not. I'm not sure if there is even an export version of the RA2. Customtronix hacks US radios for the purpose of making them usable overseas.

They also happened to realize the potential for the US market and applied their work to benefit us. It is obvious that the US market is not their primary target, as there are a few unnoticed bugs. For instance the SRT app says km/h.

I emailed customtronix about the RA2. They were unsure if there was a market for the RA2 or not. I showed them that more than 1/3rd of the people that have bought my harness have had an RA2.

They're going to buy a radio and see what they can make happen.

I asked them if the bronze package enabled the additional cams and all they told me was to buy the silver package. They don't seem very friendly, maybe that's just how the sweeds are. Lol

I replied and told him that I really like what they have done with the software, but I'm just not willing to spend that much more on the harness just for some cams. Not worth that much to me, especially when you factor in the OEM cargo cam on top of the $450+ silver package. I just want the bronze to unlock the nav while in motion and add the buttons for the cargo cam. They have not replied back...

If they will allow the cams to be installed on the bronze package, I'll buy one for the truck and one for the Jeep...

How did you get the Customtronix jailbreak? I tried to order and they won't sell me one, saying that they do not support the US version yet?

That's great. Subscribed.

Somehow missed this thread. The cargo cam is nice, especially when you have something long in the back like lumber (or your kayak example).

When I bought mine, they supported the US. They may have backed off supporting the US for now.

The US version is more complicated, as we have UConnect Access and the media apps. Customtronix is only capable of supporting the SRT app OR the media apps. Enabling the SRT app breaks the media apps. Some people weren't happy about that.

Interesting. I don't really care about the media or SRT apps. The media apps are so slow to use that I don't even bother. I prefer just playing Pandora through my phone and streaming through BT. I just want the ability to use NAV while in motion and add cams...

Looking forward to hearing something on this. It would be cool to add a 2nd/forward cam to the stock RA2 if possible.

Jeepguy_1980, again awesome work.

I was reading the website and wasn't sure how the jailbreak is affected by software updates from Chrysler for the radio. I am guessing it removes the jailbreak and you have to add it again, is hat correct?

I am curious, how much different would the lock pick look for the cargo cam, if it's possible with that? I am guessing you do not know since you don't have one but maybe someone with a lock pick and extra cams can chime in. They do show a screen for enabling functions but something like the cargo cam would be of curiosity.
