Danno is such a TROLL you never know if he is telling the truth or not.Search his 6.4 hemi posts.

Oh, I am aware of him and have called out a few times on his trollish behavior. As they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Couldn't believe it, wife took my truck to the dealer today for oil change and rotation. .......only 51.10 for the oil change. I was stunned. Normally this dealer gives you no breaks at all. Got lucky today.

Don't say you got lucky unless it says they put the correct oil in it.

The very first thing I looked at, 0w40 is on the receipt. Anything goes wrong I've got all my vehicle records......although for this truck that's a whole 2 items so far.

Did my second change last week @ 10k mi...49% oil life left on the meter...70% of the mileage is with a trailer hooked to it that weighs around 6k#...80% city/20% highway...7 qts of Pennzoil and the Bosch 3334 filter...Done in my garage for under $20.00...

how is this possible, not calling you a liar. Mine reads 38% at 7000 miles all but 1-3% is highway travelling @ 60mph and no more, being a R/T no towing of coarse??????:favorites13: Errrrr I have the dealer change the oil once a year or 2-4000 miles whichever comes first, no wait once a year thats it. Price is 130.00ish so not so bad. Several toys come out to the same or a wee bit more as a couple of engines require no never mind the toys all take 7 litres give or take. What, medication is the reason.

#1...When you have driven H.D. trucks for as long as I have, you learn how to work engine rpm/torque to your advantage
#2 Engine rpm never exceeds 3500 rpm...(see #1...lol)
#3 I NEVER use Tow Haul...Except when Snowplowing
#4 Truck NEVER exceeds 70 mph
#5 Flat roadway rpm @ 70 mph is 1500-1700...(see #1...lol)
#6 EVIC mpg is consistently at 12.8-13.3...(80% towing)
#7 MPG is most likely lower than others with the same truck, due to my dual alternators are putting a little more drag on the engine.

I will be doing all the oil changes at 5k mile intervals...So oil change #1 was @ 5k....Oil change #2 @ 10k...

Now in the winter things will change...Snowplowing requires much higher rpm's depending upon depth, moisture content, and length of plow run

Also when the snowmobiles are in the trailer and I'm chasing GOOD snow conditions, I'm a HAMMERDOWN on the pedal kinda guy...80 mph on snow covered roads are the norm for me when traveling to my riding destination...

Mine never exceeds 60mph and I have yet to see it above 3500 and that is on the downhills with cruise engaged. Maybe the 6.4's are indeed different, oh my lifetime mpg's (just shy of 8000 miles) are sitting @ 24.2 so that will tell you how I drive mine re: super light foot and then some.:favorites13:

Do you have a 1500 or a 2500? There's a bit of a difference.
