Looking to add fender flares to my 2500 to help cover -12 offset of my tires. I am getting a lot of stuff kicking up on my doors and when the ground is wet from rain the water kicks off the tire and up to my side mirror and window. what I am trying to figure out is if the Bushwacker Pocket Flares will cover enough to resolve the issue? Any body runnning -12 offset 35x12.5 tires with Bushwacker Pocket Flares? And does it give enough coverage?

Have you measured how much tire/wheel is outside of the body line?

The Bushwacker flares get you about 2.25 - 2.5" of coverage outside the body line.

The flares follow the body contour and so they curve back in at the lower portion of the rear of the wheel well. Some material will still impact the rocker panels and the solution to that is to get some universal mudflaps, cut them to give you more coverage at the lower end of the flare and drill them to match the holes in the fender and the flares.

I have them with -24mm and 35x12.5 and see very little stuff on my doors or rear bed.

Thanks MADDOG, I did measure and the they would cover the top perfect, it is the lower end (like you stated) that I was concerned about. I wonder if the Bushwacker Max Coverage Fender Flares would be a better choice over customizing mud flaps? I called Bushwacker twice asking for the measurements of coverage lower by where the mud flaps would be. They promised me twice they would measure and call me back. Never heard back from them.

Saw these today too.

Unfortunately those max coverage ones won't quite do it, either.

good luck!

Here are the only 2 I have...I'm out of town and drove my Grand Cherokee so can't take any better ones unfortunately. As you can see, at the top of the tires it fully covers but they do poke out as the lower you get. I honestly don't get much dirt at all though...it's certainly 90-95% better than it was without them.

I have them with -44 20x12 and they stop quite a bit. The running boards stop the rest. I currently have them off and the spray during rain is a PITA

Thanks for the picture! Shows how the mud hits more of the flares and running boards then the doors. Truck looks great!

Np and thanks. I have the flares off and painted them. It's been lifted, added 37s and put my top on.

I have those flares with 18x9 -12 with 35x12.5 Toyo AT 2's. Coverage isn't too bad. Some water and mud gets on the doors but not the Windows or mirrors. I'm happy with how they work. Also they cover the stance just right.

I've got the -12mm offset 20x9 rims with 35's and the Bushwacker Pocket Flares on a 1500. As you can see, I've got more than enough protection.

Nice truck, The Bushwacker's look really nice. I will be pulling the trigger in the next few days.

AEV is definitely high end pricing. But, then again, that particular product is no ordinary fender flare kit. They are complete high line fender kits. You cut over an inch of fender from all around the opening, make several other cuts and fold over metal. They come with inner liners and supposedly all necessary hardware. It is a bad ass kit... albeit a little over priced. But AEV's fit & finish is usually 2nd to none.

I REALLY wish I could afford their products, but my wallet just can't support my modding addiction.
