Sorry if this is in the wrong area.
I know I can run 295x70x18 on my Laramie wheels without any issue.

But, I'd like to run 305x70x18.

If I did this, would a simple 1.5 - 2" lift in the front be sufficient? Can I do without?

I know there are zillions of threads on this, but it's super hard to figure out since some say YES and some say NO.

To get to my house requires a full lock left turn, so I have to keep that in mind..

I've made it almost 40K on my stockers, and I think a Diesel 4x4 is coming in the next year, so I don't want to spend too much cash on what may be a truck I only keep for another 10 months.

Thanks!

305/70/18 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro with 2 inch level. Did the level when I got the tires. Looks perfect leveled with those tires.

The 2" level will give you the vertical clearance you need but you will rub inside the wheelwells with stock offset wheels.

Why will it rub? The 315/70r17's i run do not rub whatsoever at full lock.

Would you need to offset on 295's? Curious because I'm shopping tires now as well. Have the stock 18" Big Horn wheels--want to keep those wheels. Probably will level.

People run 315's with the stock wheels without rub, you will be fine.

I don't see how 315's could be run on the stock wheels without rubbing the crap out of the radius arms. My 305/70/18 STT Pro's rub them at full lock both directions. Passenger side is worse since I didn't replace the trac bar when I leveled. Not a big deal with the rub since I'm aware to not turn the wheel all the way.

Well my pictures are in this thread of the 315's being on my truck. It comes really close to rubbing on the sway bar but that is it.

Those are older Power Wagon wheels right? In '14 I believe, they changed the offsets on the stock wheels to be more positive...pulling then under the truck more which leaves less room for wider tires.

They are. There are other people on here running the same setup I am with stock wheels without issue though. It doesn't matter what wheel or tire though the first place everyone seems to rub is on the sway bar with the radius arm bolt a close 2nd.

Variables 18" vs 17" the offset of the wheels. Also actual measurements of the same "size" tires ( different brands)
Then there's the ratio change your get . Not much of a problem if your running 4:10.
