Great, that's good to know how your 3.73's and the 33.2" tires do for mpg.:waytogo:

I have never seen numbers like this to be honest. I think it's a combination of warm weather, engine starting to break in, and I tried to make sure I never went over 72 miles an hour . Most of the time I was between 65 and 70 miles an hour. At the 200 mile mark on my trip, when I was still on the freeway, I was at 20 miles to the gallon. It was only when I got off at my exit in Michigan and got to my parents house that it dropped to 19.5 miles per gallon.

Speed kills in these big ol trucks. I can get 18-19 all day long if I'm willing to set the cruise control at 67, and leave it. MDS will stay active for most of the driving. That's really hard with 70, 80, & 85 mph speed limits around here.

Those numbers look right. I achieved same numbers on my truck from nw ohio to hocking hills region in Ohio speeds ranging from 65-70mph. My evic is 1.5 mpg off so my truck was at 17-18mpg hand calc with 4.10 gears and same tires as OP. My truck only had about 5k miles on it at that time. My brothers 08 ford with the v10 and 4.10 gears netted 11-12mpg on same trip. My dad's 03 f250 with a 6.0l diesel netted 14mpg. He drives with a lead foot though. These trucks get great fuel mileage as they should with the tranny gearing and mds.

I have a 2015 with 4.10 gears and I typically get around 20 MPG on the highway if I set the cruise control at 65 and just let the truck go, The evic will say 22 but doing it by hand I still come out around 20. The best I have gotten was a 120 mile trip on relatively flat ground where I averaged 22 MPG (the evic said 24) and my mileage has been getting better as the engine breaks in. I currently have about 22,000 miles on it. I will say though that speed has a lot to do with it, the same trip I got 22 MPG on I made in a hurry doing 75 the whole way and only got 18 MPG.

Speed is the key factor. We took the truck to Charlotte in Dec right after we bought it and with the Cruise set on 70-75, the EVIC was reading 16.5.

I took it to OC, MD twice last week and the EVIC was reading 18-19, but we were averaging a 55-60 a lot of the time through MD and DE.

The stock wheel/tire size has to decrease it as well. I have the 20" wheel pkg and have never seen over 16.5 mpg hand calculated. I'm guessing the 18" wheels would net a little better mpg's. Of course those with 37's and above aren't worried about mileage :)

Rim size shouldn't matter, just the overall tire size.
Agree 100% on the 37's though..:happy107:

Avg 11.6 city driving now so I'm not real concerned what 37s will do. It's already **** for mileage. It'll be interesting on the highway though

I'm averaging about 14MPG with mixed driving. Getting my foot into it drops me down to about 12MPG. We certainly didn't buy it for the MPG..

Not too bad actually. I'm getting 1 MPG more than that in my 1500 with 8 speed in 90% city during the week days.

I just chopped off the resonator so it's just the Flowmaster 50HD so I can't keep my foot out of it but I drive all city 15 miles each way and work from home so no matter what I drive it's not great. I can get 16-17 on the highway driving 75-80 and that's hand calculated. Not to bad

Well, i posted this in another thread, but my mileage is not good, but i wasn't expecting it to be. I have a mostly stop and go, some back roads commute to work. 9.5 miles one way. A lot of traffic, so ideling while in traffic.

I'm averaging 10.0 mpg or so, sometimes less. That's according to the computer. I do only have 750 miles on it though. With my commute I'm not expecting very good though so I'm not worried about it too much. Besides for a stretch of about 5 miles or so, I've not even had it on a highway run yet. I'm sure that would help.

Thanks for the info GsRAM, keep us updated as you get a few more miles on it and mix in some hwy driving. I'm a mixed city/back road driver and I think the 6.4 will out do the Ford in the mpg category.

How is that inside the cab? I still have the stock exhaust with the 50hd thrown in the middle, and I can't even notice it in the cab when cruising down the highway, and only minor sound when accelerating.

I have the same setup on my mega cab. 6.4 Hemi and I replaced the stock muffler with a FM50HD and I chipped the resonator off using my reciprocating saw. Sid that 3 days after getting the FM installed. It wasn't enough for me with the resonator installed. I have been running like this now for 2 years or so and love it.
Is there drone? Yes but I like it. Everyone with interprate it differently.
I like my exhaust just being dumped right behind the axle too. I like the NO tailpipe look.

They must be going by the EVIC- the feel good gauge.

Best I have hand calc'd with the 37's and 3.73's is a shade over 13.4mpg using a full tank with hardly any traffic on my daily driving...normal weekly driving I get around 11.5mpg with the 37's, a couple mpg lower than with the stock setup. Pure highway mileage I have hand calc'd almost 14mpg with the 37's, and normal for the stock setup was 16mpg or so, depending on conditions. This is all driving around 70mph (5th gear with the 37's).
