2015 2500 with 5.7L Hemi

Hello Everyone,

About to be the proud owner of a 2500 Tradesman with the 5.7 Hemi. Can anyone confirm that this is sufficient to haul a 8x20 foot trailer(6500 lbs with the car and materials)? It is for towing a race car a half a dozen times a year. I have the crew cab to bring my crew. The other time of the year I use it for light work. I live in Florida.

Depending on gear and box size, good to tow 11,000 to 13,000 lbs.

3.7 rear end with an 8 foot bed

You should have no issues pulling that weight in Florida where is is mostly flat. Pulling grades might require a few downshifts and the engine to rev in the higher rpms to get the load up the hill, but you still should not have any issues with that much weight.

Since you have a race car I'm assuming you aren't mod shy? Good news about the 5.7 is there's a lot more aftermarket support. Could always get tune, headers and exhaust to make up a ton of power if you want it.

Your good you have have a payload in the 2500lb range and towing capacity of right around 11k
