Hi I'm looking at a truck here local..Lists for $65K...
I now own a 2011 6.7 F350 with 115k miles now and want to try a 6.7 3500 SRW Laramie for a change..love the Mega Cab. I love the room under the hood as well vs my 6.7.
Don't know anything about these..I owned a 1993 Ram 2500 gasser..1999 2500 gasser. Since I've owned 7.3 Ford..6.4 Ford as well.
What can I expect from this 2015 6.7 ? I do alot of Interstate travel towing about 3500lb trailer or empty..also an occasional Lance 855S truck camper weighing in at 4000lbs in the bed loaded up. I'll need Timbrens or airbags I suppose.
Please enlighten me..

should be no issues. Are you coming from a 6.7 power stroke? I believe ram to be farther along with the def systems than ford. Also the frames/ trucks are solid.

the def system that ram uses is far better than competitors. IMO

Make sure you test drive it first out at highway speeds. A lot of 3500 owners on the Cummins forums complain about a mild to severe vibration at higher speeds that's hard to get rid of. Some blame it on the stiff frame, wheels, tires, driveshaft, etc. Obviously hard to tell how widespread it really is but enough people complain about it to seem like a valid concern.

I was told the Mega Cab has a warning on the inside of the glove box it can't carry a truck camper. Bed is too short for the center of gravity. And I would have to spends thousands of dollars extra to hook up my truck cap that cost 2k, plow, camper etc were the Ford can take everything without mods.
They will be changing cabs, etc. next year although Aluminum body would be nice in New Hampshire I would have to put out more for that and other plow, etc. stuff being new build. So I should get the Ford now. I had good luck with my 6.7 so far with 115k. I work it too.
