Think I will be getting some AMP Research Powersteps for my '16 Laramie Powerwagon....I've e-mailed AMP to determine if their current part# will work and they are uncertain, sent me this bulletin.

Has anybody taken delivery of a '16 Powerwagon yet and can check if the brackets in question are there? I guess even knowing if a 2500 Laramie has them or not may be helpful. I'd like to get steps on order if I can so they're ready to install ASAP (short wife and kids)

I installed the plug and play ( #76138-01A ) on my 2016 Ram 3500 with out an issue at all.
The only holes I needed to drill were for the pop rivets.
I didn't care for drilling through the pinch weld to install the lights, plus the Amp lights were a purple color.

I used my own 3M tape LED strip lighting.
I ran them down the entire length of the steps and tucked / secured the wires under the pinch weld without drilling it.

As you can see in the picture how bright the LED's light up the steps in the daytime.
I'll take a few pictures of them at night and post then up.

I also install the Amp Bedstep.

I also ordered the 2" drop extensions. ( will have them tomorrow )
This lowers the step another 2" when deployed, which will make it easier for my wife to get in the truck.
As far as tucking up while retracted, I won't know till I install them.

Well I got the 2" extensions.
I couldn't figure out how to mount them.

Called Amp about them and they told me that they do not fit the 76138-01A steps.

So back they are going.

Great looking truck. Hard to see where the light strips are actually attached but do you think you will have a problem with and heavy water, dirt or mud hitting the light strip and causing damage.

Btw. I have a lot of chrome on my Laramie and want chrome after arts wheels imstead of the typical black. I really like and may have to copy yours but in an 18" if they make that size. Nothing has really caught my eye until,I saw yours.

Well, I after a very busy fall I finally got to installing these. I opted to save $400 and went with the non plug 'n play (part # 75138-01A)....my knuckles are not thanking me. A couple tips:

- if you don't have a 7 mm wrench you will want one. The upper screw that holds in the amplifier by the parking brake pedal is impossible to get at without.
- pay attention to the ends of the supplied "Posi-Tap" connectors. There's a spike end and a flat end, that you may not notice when you are all twisted and contorted under the dash. Spike end is to splice the truck wires or else they won;t work. Spent way too much time re-connecting wires before I realized this.
- don't install the motors on the linkages until you have the linkages bolted on...you'll just nee to take them off. And you will take them off again to install the rivets in the last step.

In the end it wasn't that difficult, just time consuming when you don;t have the right tool and overlook stupid little things. I will say customer service was excellent, I called them a few times with silly questions (one time being the Posi-Taps, one time that I couldn't read instructions lol) and they were quick and were able to get right to the solution.
